Cloud and Careers with Mr. Vishwas Lele

A tech talk on Cloud was conducted on 13th October 2017 at Microsoft Innovation Center Nepal premises organized by MIC Nepal itself. Mr. Vishwas Lele shared his experience on cloud and careers.

Mr. Lele is Chief Technology Officer at Applied Information Sciences, Inc. and also serves as Microsoft Regional Director for the Washington, D.C. area. He is noted industry speaker and author who brings close to 27 years of experience and thought leadership to his position. Additionally, Mr. Lele is an Azure MVP (Most Valuable Professional).
The event was more of interactive ideas and experience sharing followed by Q&A session. Along with cloud computing, he also pointed out the example of the importance of Machine Learning for software professionals. Some of the major ideas he focused on the event were:
Distributed services on the cloud:
Mr. Lele presented the idea on how distributed services work in the cloud. Basically, Cloud is the collection of remote servers network together for centralized data storage and online access to computer services and resources. Different services such as Web services, Mail services, and storage operations on the cloud and how this is logically integrated together.

Cloud and Machine Learning:
He pointed out the importance of cloud computing in Machine Learning and how cloud services such as Azure ML is helping on building machine learning models & processing the large volume of data.

In Q&A session Mr. Lele pointed out the disadvantage of not using the cloud services in a present context of service-providing industries. He also responded to queries from students who want to build up the career in AI, Machine Learning, and Data Science. Furthermore, he also discussed how non-technical person can benefit from cloud computing and how quantum computing will power cloud computer in future days.

The session finally ended with sharing the token of appreciation to Mr. Vishwas Lele by Mr. Allen Bailochan Tuladhar, Microsoft Regional Director.
